Mothers of this generation are unique.

Their childbirth education should be, too.

I won’t be teaching you a method.
I will be educating you.

A method tells you what to do and how to do it.
Education tells you why to do it and how it works.

You rely on methods to empower you.
Education empowers you to use any method you would like.

Methods are like boxes.
Education is a foundation upon which you can build whatever you like.

So cut through
the clutter of
marketed methods
& opinions.

And simply
educate yourself.

Meet your PT,

You can do it. Mom Bodies can help.

I wouldn't change a thing about my traumatic birth experience
for two reasons:

  1. It led me to my son.

  2. It led me to you.

Because of this experience I pivoted my physical therapy career from pediatrics to obstetrics & began treating mothers as they prepared for & healed from childbirth.

Too many of these precious mamas were experiencing the same preventable issues - stalled labors, cesareans due to large babies that weren't large, & feeling utterly unprepared to handle labor pain in a healthy way.

Here's what worked for them - pain management, body balancing, fetal positioning & education on their anatomy & their body's ability to manage pain in a healthy way. Most importantly, a personalized approach by someone who bridges the gap between the medical field & your everyday life - a physical therapist.

These strategies didn't just work for them, they worked for me, too. Two years later, the truly joyful & unmedicated birth of my daughter happened. It was hard work, but I was free of fear because I knew what was happening & why. I had much less pain & my body coped with it in a manageable way because I understood what "pain" really was. My body had been gently preparing itself for 9 months & I felt ready this time.

Now back to you. Because of my education as a clinical doctor & my personal experience as a mother I can walk with you along your own motherhood journey, sharing what so many women used to know when society was closer knit & providing you with education based on the latest research so you can look forward to the birth of your child with confidence & calm.

Context gives you courage.
Education replaces the fear of the unknown.
Preparation ushers in peace.

You can do this. Mom Bodies can help.

The Natural Childbirth Prep Course

Mothers today need three things:

  1. Time-tested truths & techniques that were once common knowledge to women before giving birth.

  2. The latest research & resources to address the rise in common issues of pregnancy.

  3. A professional who bridges the gap between the medical realm & the reality of motherhood - a physical therapist trained in obstetrics & a fellow mother.

Though postpartum dysfunction has become common, it is not normal. Regardless of what you may hear, it is possible to prevent common issues in the fourth trimester, including:

  • Diastasis recti abdominis

  • Urinary or fecal incontinence

  • Dyspareunia (painful intercourse)

  • Pelvic organ prolapse

  • Chronic back or pelvic pain

  • Cesarean scar restrictions

  • Inability to return to prior activity or exercise level

This course will teach you how to support your body gently & correctly so that you don’t have to worry about how to keep up with your brand new ball of energy or how you will handle another pregnancy.

The Natural Baby Development Course

This course was created to help new parents by dispelling myths & correcting misinformation, as well as presenting the simple principles of healthy & natural baby development. New parents will learn about:

“The Mom Bodies goal is to take mothers back to the basics—of pregnancy, childbirth, physical healing, and baby development. The things women used to know when they lived in close community, we all need to know those things again. That is the goal.”
