Is the Natural Childbirth Prep course only for those desiring a non-medicated childbirth?
While mothers wishing to complete their childbirth naturally may require a bit more preparation, this course is not solely for mothers who do not desire medical intervention or pain relief measures. Many mothers experience contractions long before being able to receive an epidural; they may wish to take this course to prepare for that part of their labor. Other mothers may wish to be prepared for natural childbirth in the event that they are too far progressed for an epidural by the time they arrive. Even mothers who are confident that they will receive an epidural may benefit from this course by having a more comfortable pregnancy and peace of mind during their childbirth experience.
