I wouldn't change a thing about my traumatic birth experience for two reasons:

  1. It led me to my son.

  2. It led me to you.

Because of this experience I pivoted my physical therapy career from pediatrics to obstetrics & began treating mothers as they prepared for & healed from childbirth.

Too many of these precious mamas were experiencing the same preventable issues - stalled labors, cesareans due to large babies that weren't large, & feeling utterly unprepared to handle labor pain in a healthy way.

Here's what worked for them - pain management, body balancing, fetal positioning & education on their anatomy & their body's ability to manage pain in a healthy way. Most importantly, a personalized approach by someone who bridges the gap between the medical field & your everyday life - a physical therapist.

These strategies didn't just work for them, they worked for me, too. Two years later, the truly joyful & unmedicated birth of my daughter happened. It was hard work, but I was free of fear because I knew what was happening & why. I had much less pain & my body coped with it in a manageable way because I understood what "pain" really was. My body had been gently preparing itself for 9 months & I felt ready this time.

Now back to you. Because of my education as a clinical doctor & my personal experience as a mother I can walk with you along your own motherhood journey, sharing what so many women used to know when society was closer knit & providing you with education based on the latest research so you can look forward to the birth of your child with confidence & calm.

Context gives you courage.

Education removes the fear of the unknown.

Preparation ushers in peace.

You can do this. Mom Bodies can help.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
